Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using Bechmaaro. They set out the rules for your use of the platform as a buyer, seller, or renter. By continuing to use Bechmaaro, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Bechmaaro platform (mobile app or website), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Bechmaaro Internet Pvt. Ltd., incorporated under the Companies Act, 2013.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and a resident of India to use Bechmaaro. By using the platform, you represent that you meet these requirements. We reserve the right to terminate accounts of users who misrepresent their age or identity.
3. Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account, including your OTP codes. You are fully responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately at support@bechmaaro.com if you suspect unauthorised access. Bechmaaro will never ask for your OTP over phone or chat.
4. Listings
Sellers are solely responsible for the accuracy of their listings. You agree to only list items you own or have legal authority to sell or rent. Listings must accurately describe the item's condition, specifications, and any known defects. Misrepresentation may result in account suspension, liability for the difference in value, and forfeiture of escrow funds. Prohibited items include but are not limited to: weapons, narcotics, stolen goods, counterfeit products, adult content, and any item whose sale is prohibited under Indian law.
5. Transactions & Escrow
All transactions on Bechmaaro use our escrow system. When a buyer pays, funds are held securely until the buyer confirms receipt of the item. The buyer has 48 hours from the marked delivery date to raise a dispute. After 48 hours without a dispute, funds are automatically released to the seller. Bechmaaro is not a party to the transaction between buyer and seller — we are a neutral marketplace and payment intermediary.
6. Fees & Payments
Listing on Bechmaaro is free. We charge a platform fee on completed transactions, deducted from the seller's payout. The current fee schedule is displayed in the app before listing. Bechmaaro reserves the right to change fee rates with 30 days' notice. All fees are inclusive of applicable GST.
7. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to: (a) use the platform for any unlawful purpose; (b) post false, misleading, or fraudulent listings; (c) harass, threaten, or abuse other users; (d) attempt to circumvent the escrow system by transacting outside the platform; (e) create multiple accounts to evade restrictions; (f) scrape, copy, or republish platform content without permission; (g) introduce malware or otherwise interfere with platform security. Violation of these rules may result in immediate account suspension and, where appropriate, referral to law enforcement.
8. Intellectual Property
Bechmaaro and all associated logos, trademarks, and platform design are the property of Bechmaaro Internet Pvt. Ltd. You retain ownership of content you post (photos, descriptions), but you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to display and promote that content on the platform and in marketing materials. You warrant that you own or have the right to use all content you upload.
9. Dispute Resolution
If a dispute arises between a buyer and seller, both parties should first attempt to resolve it through in-app chat. If unresolved within 48 hours, either party can escalate to Bechmaaro Support. Our support team will review evidence submitted by both parties and issue a binding decision regarding escrow release within 5 business days. Bechmaaro's decision is final for amounts under ₹10,000. For larger disputes, either party may pursue resolution under Indian law.
10. Limitation of Liability
Bechmaaro is a marketplace platform. We do not guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of items listed by sellers. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Bechmaaro's aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of your use of the platform shall not exceed the total fees you paid to Bechmaaro in the 3 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Bechmaaro, its directors, employees, and agents harmless from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the platform, your listings, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of another user.
12. Termination
Either party may terminate the relationship at any time. You may close your account via Profile → Settings → Delete Account. Bechmaaro may suspend or terminate your account with or without notice if you violate these Terms or if continued access poses a risk to other users or the platform. Pending transactions will be processed before account closure.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Pune, Maharashtra.
14. Changes to Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated with at least 14 days' notice via email or in-app notification. Continued use after the effective date of changes constitutes acceptance.
